How to Send Push Notifications to Your App Users?

Sending push notifications is a great way to keep attendees informed and engaged. With Taptiq, you can easily send messages to all users or target specific groups based on your event needs. This article explains how to send push notifications from the Taptiq Admin.

You can create and send custom push notifications directly from the Push Notifications section in the Taptiq Admin.

Title

It is the name that appears as the sender of the push. By default, it shows the app owner’s name.

Push Text

Write your message here. Keep it short and clear. Maximum length is 250 characters.

Click Destination

Decide where users will go after tapping the notification.

• Menu Item: Select the app section (e.g., Agenda or Networking).
• Exact Item Link: Paste the direct link to a post, session, or any other item.

You can copy item links in the Taptiq Admin.

Target Audience

Choose who will receive the push.

• Groups: Select one or more user groups.
• List of Users: Pick specific users from the dropdown.
• Event Attendees: Choose users registered for selected events.
• Discussion Followers: Target users following selected discussion threads.

Send

• Immediately: Send the push right away.
• Schedule for Later: Pick a date and time.

• Save as Draft: Save your message to edit and send later.

Tip: Want to set a time not listed in the time picker? Click on the time field and type it manually.

You can also send a push message when creating any content, like a post or session.

• Just tick the Create Push checkbox.
• Fill in the push text, target audience, and other details.

This is a quick way to notify users right when new content is added.
